Darn it!

Found out last night that my daughter has a swim meet on the 27th, so I/we can't go to the BOA regional at McEachern High School.  Kell High School, Walton High School, Harrison High School are going to be there.  All likely finalists.  All local bands.

Guess I'll have to get to the Dome somehow for the Super Regional. 42 Bands!

So September 23 is the big day, I think. The BOA (Music for All, Bands of America) regional at McEachern High School.  Walton High School, Kell High School, Harrison High School will all be there.  Plus 20 other bands.  That will be cool.  Hope the weather holds out.  Hope Kell has a good year, too.  That's our high school.

Some people are lucky, I guess, as far as bands go.  I live right between Lassiter High School and Kennesaw Mountain Highschool, both champs at BOA Grand Nationals.  Also, Kell, Walton, and Pope High Schools are close by, all good BOA bands. 

So competitions around here don't suck.

Hey!

It's almost marching band season!  Anyone else doing BOA this year?  We're lucky because we're in Atlanta and we have TWO BOA shows here:  One at McEachern High School and one at the Georgia Dome.  About 14 bands at McEachern and 42 at the Dome.  Sheesh!  It's a great place for a band geek like me to be!
